I’m impressed with the quality this item with one major exception - the mirror doesn’t attach the the desk with the parts provided. It’s clearly from a different version of the unit. As you can see from the photos, the mirror that I was sent doesn’t have drilled holes and it doesn’t position in any way that would allow it to attach to the backboard. It just sits on the desk top. It seems sturdy and good quality, but my daughter will use this so it would be better if it attached. Also there were no directions included. It was extremely easy to assemble (only had to screw on the legs) but the mirror shipped separately one week from the desk so I wasn’t sure what was going on at first. No tracking provided to indicate two shipments either. So, altogether an unusual purchase, but the vanity is otherwise awesome so we’ll keep it.Bought for my 6 year old. 3 months later one of the legs of the stool is broken off while sitting on it. She is only 40 lbs.I love this vanity! It is super cute and the mirror has 3 light levels and it’s activated by touch which is awesome. The bench is pretty sturdy, I’m 130 and I feel supported. My husband even sat on the bench and was supported. I like the drawers on it also. I recommend this vanity. The reason why I gave it 4 stars was because of a couple of issues I had while unboxing/putting it together. The first issue is that is smells really bad, maybe a chemical-like smell. I’m sure it will go away with time. The second is that it had a few little dings, none too significant but considering it is brand new, it was unexpected. I also noticed what appears to be a screw from the assembly of the mirror that pushed the wood out, busting through the the rim of the mirror. Lastly, one of the screws were defective, the hexagonal socket was not indented throughly so I was unable to tighten it with the wrench. I have contacted the seller about the bolt and they are helping me with this. These are all minor issues. I’m not returning it because they don’t have any black vanities in stock and it’s also way too much trouble for what it’s worth. Just go ahead and purchase it if you’re looking for a pre-assembled vanity. If you need more space, you’ll definitely want to purchase something larger or a drawer unit to accompany this.Well constructed unit. The packaging was really secure. The unit arrived undamaged and I was impressed considering it also contained a glass mirror. It was easy to put together and did not have a zillion parts in contrast to other pieces of furniture I have assembled. In my case I had to wipe the unit down in order to remove the dried residual black paint that was all over the pieces and inside the two drawers. I really recommend cleaning the items before using it as who knows what the paint contains. The mirror light has three settings. It would be nice to be able to turn the light button completely off when it is not being used. But hey, I have it unplugged when it is not being used. The other thing that would be nice would be the ability to raise the height of the mirror for viewing as it is attached to the desk and set in place. There may be a way to modify it but I have not tried it yet. Overall, this was a good purchase.Pros: Beautiful, well made. Even prettier in person. Easy to put together. Drawers slide like butter.Cons: light is too dim. Still need to add more lighting. Major con- I’m only 5’3” and I have to hunch down to get my full head into the mirror. It’s too short. Ad states that it is for a small space. And it is. But that shouldn’t affect the height. This is great for a young girl or a shorter person. I thought I was kind of short, but not enough for this. Seller sent me a return label for the vanity but I didn’t want to disassemble it and pack it up, so I sold it to my friend who is only 5 feet tall. She’s happy with it! Great table, if they make the mirror larger or if you’re 5 feet tall or less.
